Edward Noott RBSA

Edward was born in 1963 and studied art at Cheltenham College of Art, Trent University and State University, New York. He has held several one-man exhibitions in America and in the UK. He has also exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Oils, Royal West of England Academy and various Affordable Art Fairs. He has won many awards including: 2003 Royal Birmingham Society of Artists - Open Exhibition, Best Painting, 2004 Royal West of England Academy - Purchase Prize.

He says: "Colour is still the impetus that excites me to start a painting and to then create a composition that unites the colours so that a dynamic balance is achieved. This year it has struck me how powerfully tonal relationships can affect a painting. Tone exists when, by reason of this common quality, everything in your picture sings in harmony."
