Emma Gibbons

Born into a family of Cornish pirates and smugglers Emma developed an obsession with treasures & misdemeanours early on in life. She creates showstopping artworks out of miniature hand-crafted components, often involving precious and curious materials.

Her clients include Hollywood superstar Margot Robbie, Zoe Ball, Danny Dyer & Dawn French.

Emma's 2023 solo show BARBIECORE (ME Hotel, Stand) received widespread critical acclaim and was featured in Hello! magazine & Harper's Bazaar. She was interviewed by both Sky News & the BBC; discussing Barbie's phenomenal appeal and long-lasting feminist ideology.

"Gibbons' appeal lies in her ability to create intricate glittering artwork that fuse with our notion of what's culturally hot & exciting. It's pop art at it's zenith" - ArtReview.

Her sell-out 2022 solo exhibition POP IT LIKE IT'S HOT (Piccadilly) also received glowing reviews in The Evening Standard, BBC News, Time Out Magazine and The Daily Star.

Before branching out on her own Emma worked for Damien Hirst for a total of 7 years. She studied fine art & illustration at the London College of Printing (BA) and Camberwell College of Art (MA).

"Gibbons is taking the art world by storm"
- Daily Star.
